Results of DreamHack Denver 2017
Cloud9 are the winners of DreamHack Open Denver 2017 – a major CS:GO tournament held on October 20-22 at National Western Complex in Denver, United States.
The prize pool was set at $100,000. Eight participating teams were placed in two groups with GSL format with Bo1 and Bo3 matches. Group A consisted of Cloud9, Renegades, Counter Logic Gaming and Tempo Storm, while BIG, mousesports, Team LDLC.com and NRG Esports were placed in Group B. Cloud9 and Renegades placed top two in the Group A, while BIG and mousesports were the ones to make it through Group B.

Best four teams according to the results of the group stage faced each other in a single-elimination playoffs bracket. In the semifinals BIG outplayed Renegades (16:11 at Cobblestone; 16:14 at Cache), while Cloud9 defeated mousesports (16:14 at Cobblestone; 10:16 at Mirage; 22:18 at Overpass). Two teams placed in their groups first faced each other in the Grand Finals. This time Cloud9 were stronger and finished the series with the score of 2-0 (16:13 at Cache; 16:6 at Train).
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place: Cloud9 ($50,000)
- 2nd place: BIG ($20,000)
- 3rd-4th place: Renegades, mousesports ($10,000 each)
- 5th-6th place: Counter Logic Gaming, Team LDLC.com ($3,000 each)
- 7th-8th place: Tempo Storm, NRG Esports ($2,000 each)
