Overwatch: The Roster of San Francisco Team Is Revealed

Esports organization NRG Esports announced the roster of the team that will represent San Francisco in the first season of Overwatch League.

NRG eSports is an American esports organization originally founded by co-owners of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings. It is represented in many esport disciplines, such as CS:GO, Hearthstone, Rocket League and others.

The company is also a member of the Overwatch League – a franchise league organized by Blizzard, in which NRG Esports represent the city of San Francisco. The roster consists of eight players:

  • Daniel "dhaK" Martínez (Support)
  • Dante "Danteh" Cruz (DPS)
  • André "iddqd" Dahlström (DPS)
  • Matthew "super" DeLisi (Tank)
  • Andrej "babybay" Francisty (DPS)
  • Nikola "sleepy" Andrews (Support)
  • David "nomy" Ramirez (Tank)
  • Jay "sinatraa" Won (DPS)

Statement of Brett Lautenbach, President of the organization:

“It has been a long journey, but I could not be more excited that we are bringing these eight players together. They represent the next step in our Overwatch path. These are some of the best players in the competitive scene and we are stoked for them to compete for San Francisco!”

Overwatch League consists of 12 teams, each representing a major city. The first inaugural season of the league will start on January 10, 2018 and continue until July 2018. The matches will be played at the Blizzard Arena in Burbank, California.
