MVP Black Are the Winners of 2017 HGC Grand Finals
The main Heroes of the Storm tournament of the year– 2017 HGC Grand Finals – has ended on the weekend. The South Korean team MVP Black defeated Fnatic in the Grand Finals and received $500,000.
The final stage of Heroes of the Storm Global Championship was held on October 26 – November 4 in Anaheim, United States. Sixteen participating teams were placed in four GSL groups. Top two teams from each group advanced to the playoff, where they competed in a single-elimination bracket. MVP Black, who placed first in Group A, reached the Grand Finals without losing a single map – they outplayed Team Freedom (2-0) and Team expert (3-0). On the other side of the bracket Fnatic, who also were the strongest in their group, played with с Tempo Storm (2-1) and Ballistix (3-0). In the Grand Finals Fnatic failed to show a considerable resistance against the Koreans, and MVP Black won the series with the 4-1 score.
