FaZe Clan and Team Liquid made it to the main stage of EPICENTER 2017

Four teams representing each major region – Americas, CIS, Europe and China – have fought in the Wild Card stage of EPICENTER 2017 to determine two last participants of the main event of the major CS:GO tournament.

FaZe Clan, Vega Squadron and Team Liquid qualified to Wild Card from the region qualifiers, while the Chinese team TyLoo received a direct invite from the tournament’s organizers. Both matches were won by favorites – FaZe defeated TyLoo 2-0 (16-9 at Inferno; 16-9 at Cache), Team Liquid outplayed Vega 2-0 (16-9 at Inferno; 16-8 at Cache). It should be noted, that despite losing 0-2, TyLoo managed to show a decent performance against one of the most dangerous CS:GO teams at the moment – FaZe. Both Vega and TyLoo received $5,000.

In the main event of EPICENTER 2017 the winners of Wild Card FaZe and Liquid will join 6 teams directly invited by the organizers: Astralis, G2Esports, Gambit Esports, North, SK Gaming and Virtus.pro. The teams are divided into two groups with GSL format. Top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs bracket. /p>

EPICENTER 2017 is a major CS:GO tournament held at Yubileyny Sports Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. The prize pool is set at $490,000. The first matches of the main event start on October 24.
